<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a web from a flexible web member. <P>SOLUTION: Split lines (3a, 3b; 13) are formed in the web members (1, 11) at intervals of lengths (L) of the webs (2, 12) to be formed. The split line does not completely separate the web from the web member even though it reduces the strength of the web member, and the web is separated from the web member along the split line by being split.
