PURPOSE: A real-time positioning system using a stand-alone repeater is provided to use a CSS(Chirp Spread Spectrum) signal through a stand-alone repeater to accurately trace the position of a rescuer in order to locate a rescuer deployed in a distressed situation and to secure safety. CONSTITUTION: A real-time positioning system(100) using a stand-alone repeater comprises stand-alone shaped repeaters(102-103) installed with a triangle or a rectangular-shaped on the position of the outside of a structure(101) required for the rescue operation; terminals(106-107) carried by a rescuer(104) entering the structure; and a command center(110) tracing and managing by a real-time display of the rescuer's position(104-105) on a monitor(108) after receiving the final distance information from the stand-alone repeaters. A CSS signal is used to communicate within the stand-alone repeaters and terminals.
