<p>A system to process a request from a customer for the provision of internet access from at least one internet service supplier which comprises a first interface, configured to receive the request for the provision of internet access from the customer and to provide status information to the customer and an intermediary layer configured to receive the request from the first interface, and to store the request. The system further comprises a second interface configured to receive the request from the intermediary layer and to send the request to at least one internet service supplier. The system is configured to receive a response and provide status information to the customer comprising an indication of success. When communication with the at least one internet service supplier is asynchronous and no response to the request has been received from the at least one internet service supplier, the status information provided to the customer comprises an indication that the request is being processed. The system includes a third party for internet service provision which enables customers to identify the optimum service provision for their needs.</p> |
