In a sling type conveyer, selection of a discharge direction a or b is made by means mounted upon a rod 8 extending between side chains 3. The rod carries a tube 11 to which is secured a trigger 12, Fig. 2 (not shown), for operating a discharge control flap 6. The trigger is rotatable through about 30 degrees and is retained in either of two limit positions by spring detent means, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). The positions are indicated by numerals engraved on a collar 14 and by an arrow 20 on a collar 13 connected to the trigger. An operator, after placing a load in a sling 1 through an open hatch 21, selects the discharge direction a or b by rotation of the collar 13. In a modification. Figs. 5, 6, 7 (not shown), the preselection is performed by axial movement of a rod 24 which may be set to any one of three positions. |
