PURPOSE: A flame retardant composition using biguanide phosphate compounds is provided to ensure excellent thermal resistance. CONSTITUTION: A biguanide phosphate compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. The compound is prepared by reacting dicyandiamide and ammonium phosphate and is neutral. A flame retardant composition contains the compound of chemical formula 1. A thermoplastic resin composition with excellent flame retardancy contains 100 weight parts of thermoplastic resin and 1-50 weight parts of the compound of chemical formula 1. The thermoplastic resin composition further contains organic phosphate ester compounds, magnesium, aluminum, fluorinated polyolefin, organic metal compounds, zinc borate, tetrafluoro ethylene or fluorinated vinylidene polymers or copolymers. |
