<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improved in on-snow performance such as on-snow braking performance, on-snow traction performance and on-snow turning performance. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire includes, in at least a part of a tread located between both tread ends, one or more main grooves extending in the circumferential direction of the tire, and a plurality of lateral grooves extending in the width direction of the tire between the main grooves and/or between the main grooves and the tread ends to partition a block row comprising a plurality of blocks, wherein at least one sipe is disposed in each block. Each block is formed with a first notched groove with one end opened to the lateral groove located on one side of the block in the circumferential direction of the tire and with the other end terminated in the block; a second notched groove with one end opened to the lateral groove located on the other side of the block in the circumferential direction of the tire and with the other end terminated in the block; and a connecting narrow groove that connects the first notched groove to the second notched groove and is narrower in groove width than the first notched groove and the second notched groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
