摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of accurately estimating the flow rate of a refrigerant by using an electric pump that pumps the refrigerant, in a cooling device mounted to an electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling device 100 is mounted to the electric vehicle. The cooling device 100 includes a refrigerant flow passage 2 that circulates through a motor 15, an inverter 7 and a radiator 6. The cooling device 100 further includes an electric pump 10 for circulating the refrigerant, a rotational speed sensor 4 for measuring the rotational speed of the electric pump, and a controller 12 for controlling the electric pump. The controller 12 gives a preliminarily determined output command value to the electric pump 10, stops power supply to the electric pump 10 after the rotational speed of the pump is stabilized, and estimates the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing in the refrigerant flow passage from the rotational speed when the electric pump 10 rotates by inertia by the flow of the refrigerant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
