The invention relates to a method for applying a wear protection layer (4) to a continuous flow machine component which has a base material (3) comprising titanium, having the following steps: mixing a solder (12) which comprises an alloy (6) comprising titanium and particles which are distributed in the alloy (6) and have a reaction agent (5); applying the solder (12) to predetermined points of the continuous flow machine component; introducing a heat volume into the solder (12) and the continuous flow machine component so that the alloy (6) becomes liquid and the reaction agent (5) changes through diffusion processes with the solder and undergoes a chemical reaction with the alloy (6), forming a hard aggregate (8); and cooling the solder (12) so that the alloy (6) becomes solid. |
