<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element capable of connecting between adjacent photoelectric conversion elements by using an inexpensive wiring material. <P>SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element 10 comprises: a first conductivity type of a first semiconductor layer 1; a first electrode 2 arranged on a rear surface of the first semiconductor layer 1 and electrically connected to the first semiconductor layer 1; a second conductivity type of a second semiconductor layer contacting with the first semiconductor layer 1 and having at least a part thereof arranged on a light-receiving surface side of the first semiconductor layer 1; a light-receiving surface electrode electrically connected to a light-receiving surface side of the second semiconductor layer; a second electrode 7 arranged on the rear surface of the first semiconductor layer 1, being electrically insulated from the semiconductor layer 1 and electrically connected to the second semiconductor layer; and a through connection part 9 passing through the semiconductor layer 1, being electrically insulated from the first semiconductor layer 1, and electrically connecting the light-receiving electrode and the second electrode 7.
