<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the frequency of obtaining parameters from an external apparatus, thereby suppressing increase in a processing load on the external apparatus and a load of power consumption etc. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus, which is provided with imaging parameters for imaging from a providing apparatus, performs: detecting change in the power supply state or constitution of the imaging apparatus; if the change in the power supply state or constitution of the imaging apparatus is detected, transmitting a parameter request signal to the providing apparatus; receiving from the providing apparatus the imaging parameters including information on the conditions of environment to use the imaging parameters, in response to the parameter request signal; holding the received imaging parameters; detecting the imaging environment of the imaging apparatus; and selecting imaging parameters to use for imaging from among the held imaging parameters, on the basis of the imaging environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
