A fuel vaporiser assembly 1 for regenerating a plurality of exhaust gas treatment modules 2a, 2b in an exhaust system 4 of an internal combustion engine. The fuel vaporiser assembly comprises a fuel vaporiser 6, and a branched connecting member 8 to connect the fuel vaporiser to a plurality of fuel outlets 9a, 9b in the exhaust system for the purpose of regenerating the exhaust gas treatment modules. The branched connecting member may comprise two branches in the form of a T-junction or Y-junction. The exhaust gas treatment modules may be one or more lean NOx traps and/or diesel particulate filters. The assembly may comprise a control system and at least one sensor which measures at least one of pressure, temperature or concentrations of exhaust gases. |
