PURPOSE: A light guide plate manufacturing apparatus and a backlight unit including the same are provided to improve brightness and optical efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(110) comprises a light source(120), a light guide plate(130), and a reflective sheet(160). The light source creates light. The light guide plate guides the light projected from the light source and emits the guided light to an upper side. The light guide plate comprises an upper pattern and a lower pattern. The upper pattern is arranged in the front surface of the light guide plate. The lower pattern is arranged in the rear surface of the light guide plate. The upper pattern and lower pattern reflects or refracts the light. The lower pattern arranges a vertex angle in which two inclined planes are touched with an engraved pattern of round prism shape. The angle of the inclined plane is 40 to 55 degrees. |
