A housing device (10) has: a housing (12) that houses a cable (100); and a fixed pulley section (50) and a movable pulley section (20) that are disposed inside the housing (12). The cable (100) is hung between a fixed pulley (60) in the fixed pulley section (50) and a movable pulley (32) in the movable pulley section (20). When the tip of the cable (100) is pulled, the movable pulley section (20) rises along a guide wire (16) and the cable (100) is fed out from the housing (12). A ratchet gear (70) is fixed to one side surface of the fixed pulley (60). When a ratchet claw (78) engages with the ratchet gear (70), the fixed pulley (60) cannot rotate in the winding direction, and the cable (100) maintains the state of being fed out from the housing (12). When the engagement is released, the movable pulley section (20) drops down and the cable (100) is pulled into the housing (12). |
