<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball that can extend the carry even when a driver with a low gravity center is used. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball includes: a spherical core 1; a plurality of ribs 3 formed on a surface of the core 1; an intermediate layer 5 filled in a recess 4 surrounded by the ribs 3; and a cover 7 for covering the intermediate layer 5. The surface hardness of the core 1 is equal to or harder than that of the ribs 3, and the surface hardness of the intermediate layer 5 is harder than that of the libs 3.
