<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catching detector that can detect its catching by sensing that a vehicle door is closed even if a closing signal is not input therein. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of the vehicle doors 2a, 2b are provided with acceleration sensors for detecting acceleration directions of vehicle doors 2a, 2b, respectively. Further, a controller 12 determines the acceleration directions of the vehicle doors 2a, 2b on the basis of acceleration signals which indicate the acceleration directions of the vehicle doors 2a, 2b and which are output from a pair of acceleration sensors. The controller 12 not only senses shifting of the vehicle doors 2a, 2b from the open state to the closed state if the acceleration directions are opposite to each other but also detects whether or not they are caught. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
