<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element capable of providing blue light emission, and to provide a material useful for an organic thin film layer of the organic EL element. <P>SOLUTION: An aromatic amine derivative is represented by formula (1). In the formula (1), R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to R<SB POS="POST">10</SB>are a hydrogen atom or a substituent, wherein R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>is represented by formula (2), and one of R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>to R<SB POS="POST">5</SB>and R<SB POS="POST">7</SB>to R<SB POS="POST">10</SB>is represented by the formula (2). In the formula (2), L<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to L<SB POS="POST">3</SB>are a single bond or a divalent residue of an aryl group, or the like; Ar<SB POS="POST">1</SB>is a monovalent substituent having formula (3) as a partial structure; and Ar<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is an aryl group, a monovalent group having formula (3) as a partial structure, or the like.
