<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for automatically shutting off a flow path when beverage in a supply pipe passage for the beverage runs out. <P>SOLUTION: This flow path shut-off device comprises: a spherical valve element 4 made of a magnetic body; a body 3 having a valve seat 1a on which the spherical valve element 4 is seated along a flow direction of liquid and a drop-in recess 2 for dropping the spherical valve element 4 in a gravity direction in which the spherical valve element 4 separates from the valve seat 1a by its own weight; a liquid sensor 5 detecting the presence of the liquid flowing in the body 3; and a solenoid coil 6 energized when the liquid sensor 5 detects the absence of the liquid and attracting the spherical valve element 4 in the drop-in recess 2 so that it is seated on the valve seat 1a. The surface of the spherical valve element 4 is coated 4a with synthetic resin or rubber having elasticity.
