<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode active material which allows the improvement of the rate characteristic, and enables the charge and discharge with a large current, and a method of manufacturing the material. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode active material comprises secondary particles, each consisting of a group of primary particles of an active material selected from a lithium layer compound and an olivine compound. The primary particles form a monocrystalline. The primary particles in the secondary particle are arranged so that the lithium ion diffusion directions in the primary particles coincide with each other, and stacked at least in the lithium ion diffusion direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
