[Also in Division F2] A plastics control knob 10 is secured on a 'D' or triangular cross-section notched spindle 11 by a press-fitted tubular fastener having an integral spring clip 7 which snaps into the spindle notch 8. The fastener is provided with holes 5 into which plastics of the knob flows to provide additional securing means when the press-fitted fastener and knob are forced over the spindle end. Teeth (15) (Fig. 7 not shown) on the fastener provide still further securing means. |
