HYDRAULIC UNION ASSEMBLY

A hydraulic union assembly for joining pipes includes an outer body that
threads the
female hub, an inner body or piston that generates an axial force under
hydraulic
pressure, a hydraulic port and seals to maintain the hydraulic pressure within
the
annular pressure area that operates in an elastic region and continues to
actuate
hydraulic pressure after repeated operating cycles, and preferably a
mechanical
threaded locking collar to retain axial force after release of hydraulic
pressure.
