PURPOSE: A display panel driving method and a display device for implementing the same are provided to improve the brightness of a three dimensional image by blocking the output of data voltage at a display panel for predetermined sections and maintaining previous data voltage. CONSTITUTION: A display panel is driven based on a vertical synchronizing signal(STV), a gate clock signal(CPV), and a data enable signal(DE). The data enable signal is activated for a first section(T1), inactivated for a second section(T2), and activated for a third section(T3). The data enable signal is activated for a fourth section(T4), inactivated for a fifth section(T5), and activated for a sixth section(T6). A data driving part outputs the data voltage of a left eye data frame(L) for the first section. The data driving part blocks the output of data voltage for the second section. The data driving part outputs black data voltage(B) for the third section. The data driving part outputs the data voltage of a right eye data frame(R) for the fourth section.
