PURPOSE: An organic light emitting display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize stress applied to an optical compensation layer by reducing thermal expansion in a planarization layer. CONSTITUTION: A planarization layer(190) is formed on a protection layer(170). A first contact hole is formed by selectively removing the protection layer and the planarization layer. An optical compensation layer(200) is formed on the planarization layer. An organic light emitting display device is formed on the optical compensation layer. The organic light emitting display device includes a first electrode, an organic light emitting layer, and a second electrode.
