PURPOSE: A warning device for window glass opening of a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to warn an operator of using all or selectively using among a buzzer, a remote control, and a smart phone when a door is locked during the incomplete closing of the window glass. CONSTITUTION: A warning device for window glass opening of a vehicle comprises a window motor(10), a door lock detector(20), a control device(30), and a warning device(40). The control device analyzes the locking state of a door detected by the door lock detector. When the door is locked, the position data of the window glass is analyzed. A warning signal is generated for the opening of the window glass when the window glass is open. The warning device warns of the opening state of the window glass depending on the warning signal generated by the control device.
