PURPOSE: A shifting control device of an automatic transmission and a controlling method thereof are provided to fundamentally improve gear shifting shock and ride comfort in a vehicle in which a multi-stage transmission is applied by resetting a gear shifting pattern according to a set model. CONSTITUTION: A model setting part receives slip information and weight information supplied from the outside(101).
