LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to connect a pixel bar to a pad, to form a second protection layer and a pixel electrode at the same time using a halftone mask, and to prevent the contact fault of the pixel bar. CONSTITUTION: A second contact hole(185) is formed on a second protection layer on a pixel bar(244). A pixel electrode is formed on the second contact hole. The pixel bar is connected to a pad(242) using a bridge layer(280) composed of a contact pattern and a lower metal. Even if the pixel electrode is collapsed in a contact area, the connection between the pad and the pixel bar using the bridge layer prevents the disconnection of the contact.
