The object of the invention is to provide a method of controlling fouling in a reactor, and a method of carrying out addition polymerization while controlling fouling of a reactor. The invention provides a method for washing an inner wall surface of a reactor, comprising following steps (1) and (2):(1) a step of adding to a reactor a solution containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by the general formula [1], the compound represented by the general formula [2] and the compound represented by the general formula [9], and a hydrocarbon solvent; (2) a step of removing said solution in the reactor, R1-O-(-R2-O-)m-Q1 [1] R1C(=O)NR5 2 [2] M4L3 n [9] wherein, in the general formulas [1] and [2], R1 represents a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, R2 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms which may have a substituent. Q1 represents a hydrogen atom, -C(=O)OM1, -R3-C(=O)OM1, -S(=O)2OM1, -R3-S(=O)2OM1, -P(=O)(OH)(OM1), -R3-P(=O)(OH)(OM1), -P (=O)(OR4)(OM1), -R3-P(=O)(OR4)(OM1), -P(=O)(OM1)2 or -R3-P(=O)(OM1)2, M1 represents a hydrogen atom, NH4, NH(R12OH)3, or an alkali metal atom, R12 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, R3 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, R4 represents a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, m represents a number of 1 to 100, R5 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms which may have a substituent; and in the general formula [9], M4 represents a metal atom selected from the group consisting of atoms of Group 1, Group 2, Group 8, Group 9, Group 10, Group 11, Group 12, and Group 13 of the Periodic Table, and L3 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a hydrocarbyl group, and n is the number rquivalent to the valence of metal atom M4. |
