<p>A shell for use in making a solar collector that is formed from a laminate of layers of carbon fibers in thermoset polymers. The fibers in each of the layers are arranged to lie substantially parallel with one another. The layers are arranged so that fibers in adjacent layers are offset from one another. The fibers have a tensile strength of about 30x106 psi to about 33x106 psi.</p> |
