<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation testing device for a worm gear mechanism, excellent in test efficiency and capable of achieving development of the worm gear mechanism in a short period of time at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: An evaluation testing device 100 for a worm gear mechanism uses: a disk-like first test piece 2 having a first tooth-surface 1 corresponding to a part of a tooth-surface of a worm, in an inclined manner; and a second test piece 4 having a second tooth-surface 3 corresponding to one of a pair of tooth-surfaces facing each other in a tooth space of a worm wheel. A load cell 24 restrains rotation of the second test piece 4. An electric motor 7 drives and rotates the first test piece 2 around a first rotation axis C1 and makes the first tooth-surface 1 slide with respect to the second tooth-surface 3. The worm gear mechanism is evaluated by measuring a temperature under conditions that various speeds and loads are imparted to the first test piece 2, for example, at a time after 300 rotations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
