摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery having excellent battery characteristics, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ion secondary battery includes a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions, a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions, and an electrolyte. A negative electrode surface detection component being detected when the surface of the negative electrode active material is irradiated with primary ions by a time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry, has a first component on the negative electrode side composed of at least one kind of the group consisting of lithium phosphate ion, lithium borate ion and lithium arsenate ion. The ion count ratio that is the ratio of a peak integrated intensity derived from the first component on the negative electrode side to the total value of peak integrated intensities derived from all negative electrode surface detection components is 0.02 or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
