<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility capable of preventing storage efficiency of its storage rack from decreasing while using pallets exhibiting a downward bending amount not exceeding the tolerance limit and pallets exhibiting a downward bending amount exceeding the tolerance limit as the pallets when they are stored in a storage section with articles stacked thereon up to the upper weight limit. <P>SOLUTION: The article storage facility includes a controller which is constructed to select a specific empty storage section out of empty storage sections among storage sections S upon storing a pallet exhibiting a bending amount exceeding the tolerance limit, which specific empty storage section is either an empty storage section formed on a lower storage section disposed beneath the same wherein an article is not stored, or is an empty storage section formed on a lower storage section disposed beneath the same wherein articles are stored and is estimated to let an article stacking body 8 disposed at a target height for unloading be separated from the uppermost face of the articles stored in the lower storage section by a predetermined marginal distance upon storing a pallet to be stored, according to the height of the articles B stored in the lower storage section and the bending amount of the pallet to be stored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
