Dependence in an impact load direction may be prevented when an impact load of a shift member is absorbed. According to a shift lever device (10) of the present invention, width dimensions (W) of a right rib and left ribs (40), (42), and (44) is larger than diameter dimensions of a right spindle portion and a left spindle portion (56). When an impact load is provided to a shift lever in a different direction (arrow B direction) with respect to an axial direction of a control lever, since the left rib (40) and the right rib are formed for an entire diameter of the right spindle portion and the left spindle portion (56), the left rib (40) and the right rib are ruptured with respect to the direction of the impact load. Accordingly, the impact load may be absorbed even when the impact load having a different direction with respect to an axial direction of a lever control (62) is provided to a shift lever (46). In other words, the impact load may be absorbed with respect to the impact load direction within a range of a predetermined angle (alpha). Therefore, dependence in the impact load direction may be prevented when the impact load provided to the shift lever (46) is absorbed. |
