PURPOSE: A power saving outlet for cutting off standby power is provided to completely block the electric power when a plug is not connected to a wall power outlet, thereby fundamentally preventing the consumption of the standby power when an electric device is not in use. CONSTITUTION: A main body has a power supply unit and one pair of connection terminals(240) connected to the power supply unit. A case(300) is connected to the front of the main body and has one pair of connection holes for a connection terminal of a plug. A safety pin(400) is combined to the case with the center portion inserted into a protruded portion formed on the back of the case. A power cutoff switch(500) is arranged in the rotational direction of the safety pin for turning on or off by the connection of the safety pin. The power supply unit(220) is controlled by the power cutoff switch and supplies the power being connected to the connection terminal of the plug.
