PURPOSE: A selection method for a specific part of a program based on a social service and a system thereof are provided to extract a keyword from a message, thereby generating a clip of content based on the keyword. CONSTITUTION: A content server(110) provides content to a viewer. An application server(120) determines relation between a message and the content by receiving the message written by the viewer from a social service server(150). When the message is related to the content, the application server generates a clip of the content. The application server determines the relation between the message and the content by comparing a keyword with metadata of the content after extracting the keyword from the message.
