<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information transmitter which provides program information via a network. <P>SOLUTION: The program information transmitter, which receives digital broadcast including program information, comprises: a program information processing unit which acquires the program information from a digital broadcast signal; a device information providing unit which provides another device connected to the network with device-description information describing a command for controlling the program information transmitter; a program information conversion unit which, using the program information acquired by the program information processing unit, generates an EPG object with property information on a broadcast system, organization channels and programs; a program information providing unit which provides program information in accordance with a command sent from another device; and a programmed recording unit for setting programmed recording of a program designated in accordance with a command sent from the another device mentioned above, the command containing information on the destination of the programmed recording. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
