<p>The present invention provides for methods for therapeutic use of dimeric compound B3C and related compounds to treat Parkinson's disease (PD) and Parkinsonism. B3C is neuroprotective and has utility as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of PD, Parkinsonism and other conditions characterized by the degeneration and/or death of dopaminergic neurons and the adverse symptoms resulting from such degeneration and/or death, including loss of motor function and cognition. This group of compounds is also useful for manufacture of medicaments including tablets, capsules and injectable solutions that are useful for treatment of such conditions.</p> |
