<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that simplifies a structure by reducing the number of components of a suction port body. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a switch 26 for driving a rotary brush 19 arranged in a suction port 15 opening in a bottom surface of a case 16 of the suction port body 5; a projecting part 21 arranged at one end of a support member 22 turnably supported by the case 16 and vertically moving by the turn of the support member 22; a first engaging member 23 arranged at the other end of the support member 22; and a lever-shaped engaging member 27 vertically moving by its own weight and turnably supported. The second engaging member 27 presses the switch 26 by engagement with the first engaging member 23 turned by the upward movement of the projecting part 21 when the suction port 15 is directed downward, and the second engaging member 27 is retracted by its own weight from a position engaging with the first engagement part 23 turned by a vertical movement of the projecting part 21 when the suction port 15 is directed upward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
