<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both side edges in the vicinity of the opening of a tubular container to be gripped by grippers by feeding the tubular container 1 under an upside-down attitude to the grippers 8 and 8 of an intermittent rotating type rotary style packaging machine. <P>SOLUTION: The cap 5 of the tubular container 1 under the upside-down attitude is held by a container holder 17, transferred to a receiving position by a container feeding conveyor 11, and positioned at the position. Then, the opening section of the tubular container 1 having been positioned is held and flattened by a pair of molding members 21 and 21. The flattened opening section is held by a pair of holding members 24 and 24, and transferred to a delivering position where the delivery of the grippers 8 and 8 is performed from the receiving position.
