<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that utilizes natural convection without fan to efficiently reduce adverse effects of heat generated in a motor. <P>SOLUTION: A gear plate 12 mounted on a motor 11 generates natural convection flowing upward from the bottom of the motor 11. The flow of the natural convection is regulated by a flow channel 17 formed in the vicinity of the motor 11, thereby allowing the air to naturally flow toward the gear plate 12 efficiently.
