摘要 Novelty: a tree-planting system applicable to desert regions where rainwater and irrigation water are in short supply or scarse. Constitution: a waterproof and airproof basin 12 placed under the soil 11 and filled with hygroscopic inflated low-granularity inert material 13 of high friction coefficient; the rainwater or the irrigation water excess which is stored up 14 into the basin 12 is drawn through the foregoing inflated inert material 13 to the soil 11 the moist of which is either partially released in the atmosphere or used by the plant 10 growing into said basin 12. When utilised in desert regions, the basin in question bears between the inert inflated material 13 and the soil 11 an hygroscopic water permeable and air permeable geofabric 28 meant to impede sand from being falling into the inert material, and a thermally insulating, waterproof, airproof surface 34 preventing moist to escape from the underneath of said surface 34 in the atmosphere so that the temperature of the root system area can remain constant; furthermore, a piping network 29,30 is installed to ensure underground irrigation (subirrigation) upon flowing of the irrigation water into the basin 12. The irrigation water 31 is produced by solar energy-assisted atmospheric moist condensation.
