A drum type washing machine is provided to prevent the air in the interior of a drum from being flowed backward into a detergent resolution unit by using a backward flow prevention unit. A drum type washing machine includes a housing, a tub(12), a detergent resolution unit(30), a water supply passage, and a backward flow prevention unit. The tub is installed in the housing. The detergent resolution unit supplies a detergent and washing water to the tub. The water supply passage is connected between the tub and the detergent resolution unit. The backward flow prevention unit is installed in the water supply passage and is normally closed and is opened by the pressure due to flow of the washing water. |
