Disclosed is an input device capable of suppressing erroneous detection when a proximity sensor is arranged. An input device is capable of detecting an operating position on an operation surface, and comprises a transparent layer, wherein the input device comprises a first area (first space) (31) and a second area (second space) (32) located at mutually distant positions and capable of transmitting light between the rear face (10b) and the front face (10a) of the input device, and a suppression unit (for example, slit unit (36)) which functions so that, when light is emitted from the rear face (10b) side of the first area (31) to the front face (10a) side, the light is transmitted through the transparent layer located between the first area (31) and the second area (32), and entering of the light into the second area (32) can be suppressed. |
