The ingredients are mixed into a paste with an aq. liquid, formed into a film less than 1/2 mm thick and pref. thicker than 0.2 mm, which is then arranged in zigzag folds, pressed, dried and cut into lumps. A binding or swelling agent may be added initially. The product can be eaten dry or with a liquid and/or heated and may be a complete life supporting food for humans or animals and is useful in diets on marches and walking trips, in catastrophes and in railroad trains. |
