<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow air remained in an armature chamber to be extracted to prevent a start-up failure of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel injection pump includes: a pump body 10 in which a compression chamber 135 and a fuel gallery 14 are formed; and an electromagnetic spill valve 20. The electromagnetic spill valve 20 includes: a housing 21; a spill valve body 24 housed in the housing 21 so as to be slidable and operable to connect and shut off between the compression chamber 135 and the fuel gallery 14; an armature 247 mounted to one end in a sliding direction of the spill valve body 24; the armature chamber 221 for housing the armature 247; and an air vent path 22a for connecting the armature chamber 221 with the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
