<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily control the moving direction of an annular band. <P>SOLUTION: An annular casting band 26 is stretched over horizontal rollers 24, 25 in a tensioned state. The horizontal roller 24 rotates by a motor 24M. The casting band 26 circulates in a moving passage formed around the horizontal rollers 24, 25. A cooling part 61P for cooling one end in a Y direction of the casting band 26, and a cooing part 61Q for cooling the other end in the Y direction of the casting band 26 are provided between the horizontal rollers 24, 25. A control unit 67 detects a direction in which the annular band 26 is deviated from the moving passage by detection sensors 65PB, 65QB.
