<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a piezoelectric element according to the purposes, dust removal and focus detection, with a simple circuit structure. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit including an image pickup device photoelectrically converting a photographic subject image; a piezoelectric element provided for vibrating the imaging unit; a drive circuit applying a voltage to the piezoelectric element; and setting means which sets a cleaning mode where dust adhering to the image pickup device is removed. The drive circuit increases the voltage which is applied to the piezoelectric element when the cleaning mode is set compared to when the cleaning mode is not set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
