<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue strength measuring method capable of obtaining a suitable test condition in a short time and at low cost when performing a fatigue test, and preventing a test piece from being broken in a contact end part during the fatigue test. <P>SOLUTION: The fatigue strength measuring method comprises the steps of: previously creating an analytic model of the test piece; performing an analysis by a finite element method under different test conditions using the analytic model; extracting a test condition at which the product of the maximum principal stress and the maximum principal strain in the evaluation part is larger than the product of the maximum principal stress and the maximum principal strain in a contact end part being a boundary portion between parts gripped and not gripped by a chuck of the test piece; performing the fatigue test on the extracted test condition; and measuring a fatigue strength when the test piece is broken in the evaluation part based on the test result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
