PURPOSE: An asset management device using a terminal and a method thereof are provided to identify assets with a barcode by using an image of the barcode imaged by the terminal, to confirm the location of the assets based on location information of the terminal, and to update the current state information of the assets, thereby enabling the management of the assets without separate equipment. CONSTITUTION: An identification information generation unit(210) generates identification information of assets with a barcode by using a barcode image imaged by a camera of a terminal. A building drawing database(220) stores a design drawing of a building in which the assets are located in a modeling building drawing. A location information generation unit(230) generates the location information of the assets based on the location information of the terminal. A current state information management unit(240) manages the current state information of the assets by using the identification information and the location information of the assets. The location information generation unit displays the assets on the building drawing by using the identification information and the location information of the assets.
