PURPOSE: An LED assembly and a liquid crystal display device including the same are provided to improve the luminous efficiency of a backlight by arranging an optical source in the center of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: An LED assembly(128) includes a printed circuit board(128b) and a plurality of LEDs(128a). The printed circuit board includes a first printed circuit board in a vertical direction and a second printed circuit board in a horizontal direction. The plurality of LEDs are mounted on one side of the first printed circuit board. A support unit supports the plurality of LEDs to be bidirectionally located and includes a vertical support part and a horizontal support part.
