<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a method, and a program which can verify logical identity among replicas when the replicas are stored in a storage node in physically different formats. <P>SOLUTION: A storage system comprises: calculation means (1) for calculating error detection codes composed by an operation which satisfies associative law, is commutative for addition, and can define subtraction; and aggregation means (2) for aggregating the error detection codes calculated for a plurality of pieces of data. In updating data in a storage, within the original data, the storage system causes the aggregation means to aggregate error detection codes or error detection correction codes which are calculated by the calculation means for partial data of an update target, and error detection codes or error detection correction codes which are already calculated for the other data, and calculates error detection codes or error detection correction codes of the entire data after update. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
