<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for saving power in wireless communications. <P>SOLUTION: Packet communication information, which is input and output to and from a wireless device, is determined. A traffic profile is selected from a light traffic profile, a periodic traffic profile, and a heavy traffic profile, according to the determined packet communication information. A packet performs communications with a wireless access point using a power mode determined according to the selected traffic profile.
